At Polar Bear Windows, we hold great pride in our ability to keep a reputation of quality and service. One way we have held ourselves accountable and placed a commitment to continue this reputation is by holding memberships with different membership organisations. So you don't just have to take our word about the quality of our products and installations.

Certass which stands for certification and self assessment, was formed several years ago and was one of the original Quality Mark certification bodies. Our membership with Certass means we have a commitment to full compliance with the latest building regulations.

From 1st April 2002, all replacement glazing in dwellings comes within the scope of the Building Regulations. Anyone who installs replacement windows or doors has to comply with improved thermal performance standards. When having their windows and doors replaced, homeowners must ensure that they get a certificate from the Local Authority Building Controller or have the work completed by a Registered Company. One of the main reasons for this change to the Building Regulations was the need to reduce energy loss.

The UK Trades Confederation has the policy that only reputable companies and individuals that are committed to improving standards and that wish to be accountable for their work are taken into membership. Therefore, a stringent vetting criteria has been devised, which incorporates continued customer assessment to meet that aim. The UK Trades Confederation offer an unrivalled way of providing independent proof of customer satisfaction.

British Standards have pioneered the development of standards to make life safer and more efficient and stands as the National Standards body of the UK responsible for facilitating, drafting, publishing and marketing British Standards and other guidelines. With collaborative ventures and a strong national and international profile, British Standards is at the heart of the world of standardization. Although standards have been developed to cater for different industries, a number have been formulated to set the standard for double glazed Conservatories, Windows, and Doors.
